L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Plush Plum swatches and review

The +L'OrĂ©al Colour Riche Balm's are something not to be missed and offer a fantastic alternative to a moisturising tinted lip balm at a fraction of the cost.  Available in 6 shades and at $7.79 they are a little something to keep in your handbag at all times.

L'Oreal offers a sheer coloured lip butter that adds a touch of pigment to your lips, with an SPF of 15.  Whilst you may feel the colour to fad throughout the day I can guarantee it won't leave your lips naked, instead with the colour ever so slightly staining your lips.  They are incredibly moisturising and don't have any drying affect, no matter how far through the day you are.

The instant thing to compare these to is the +Revlon UK lip butters, however I do think you have to look at these as two separate products.  The Revlon lip butters are extremely pigmented and incredibly moisturising and as wonderful as they are this does mean they fade quickly throughout the day.  L'Oreal has that balance of moisture and staying power so in my opinion it stays put for longer, taking some serious time to shift throughout the day.

Plush Plum is a sheer deep berry colour which has more coverage than you might expect from a balm.  Personally I adore this colour and throughout the day when my lipstick begins to fade this is what I reach for to add that bit of moisture with a splash of colour.

Take a look at that packaging too, for a drugstore product L'Oreal have hit the nail on the head coming up trumps.  A sleek gold structure with a sheer lid that reflects the bullet colour, something clever and initially letting you see the colour without having to open it up is an instant bonus!  Rivals, take note...

Before you purchase I don't want you to think that these are a lipstick because in no way are they are a lipstick, they are a sheer nourishing lip cream.  If you're looking for something extremely pigmented then steer clear of this, but if you're looking for something to give your lips that hint of colour, is light on the lips and moisturising then this is your winning ticket.

Overall, I really do love these products and am eagerly awaiting their touchdown in the UK!

What are your thoughts on these latest products to drop from L'Oreal?
